"Until now, as 2012 approaches, two factors increase the probability that solar radiation will cause the cataclysm end of life on earth : increasing solar activity and the corresponding rise in the solar radiation to catastrophic levels; and the depletion of the earths magnetic field."

This is basically saying that the world is gaining more and more radiation every year. With that being said the world will have too much radiation to live. with the earth's magnetic field depleting, more radiation from the sun can come to the earth and cause the earth to die off.
